Mentorship – The Mentorship program at the Olentangy Academy allows seniors from all three of Olentangy’s high schools to explore career options by mentoring with professionals in the community during the school day. Students are able to participate in 3 placements (40 to 50 hours) in career areas of their choice throughout the school year. Mentoring can be scheduled in the morning or afternoon and is 5 hours weekly. Students spend the other part of their day at their home schools. During this course, students learn first-hand about career interests, develop professionalism and employability skills, apply 21st century skills, learn to balance their responsibilities, and set goals for their future. The Mentorship program provides opportunities to help students make better decisions about their lives.
