Heritage Elementary School (HES) and OASIS have a wonderful cooperative relationship. Through the work of HES school counselors, and OASIS principal Jennifer Blakley, students at OASIS volunteer to work in teacher classrooms at HES. OASIS students work one hour per week at HES and perform tasks the teachers have selected. OASIS students are asked to commit to be volunteers for at least one semester. This program has been in operation since 2010, a fact that demonstrates its success for both OASIS and HES.
