Director of Transportation
The Director of Transportation is responsible for the overall administration of transportation and fleet maintenance. Ensures compliance with state laws and board policy. Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures. Provides leadership to secure, maintain and improve the operation of the transportation organization including its budget and personnel.
The Transportation Supervisor-Berkshire is responsible for transportation delivery services from the Berkshire Bus Compound (East) including efficient operation, route coverage, interviewing, driver training, radio dispatching, T-reporting and oversees fleet maintenance at the Berkshire compound.
The Transportation Supervisor-Liberty is responsible for transportation delivery services from the Liberty Bus Compound (West) including efficient operation, route coverage, radio dispatching, interviewing, bus driver training and T-Reporting and oversees fleet maintenance at the Liberty compound.
Administrative Secretaries- Liberty
Handle all incoming calls and are responsible for coordinating execution of the daily plan, staff training activities, inventory, development of purchase orders, budgeting, fleet record keeping, fuel supply and monitoring, non-public transportation reimbursements, pre-trip record keeping and directly supports the director.
Admintrative Routing Secretaries - Berkshire/Liberty
Handle incoming calls as needed and are responsible for the management of all routing and providing data/reports. metric data, T- report data, from the routing system throughout the year. Assists supervisors with daily driver assignments and radio dispatching as needed. updates student database, coordinate with non-public schools and tracks driver information.
Administrative Field Trip Secretary - Liberty
The Field Trip Secretary handles incoming calls as needed and coordinates field trips for the district, tracks bus and van driver information, schedules and conducts trip bid meetings, assists with T-report data collection and occassional routing. Directly supports the transportation supervisor at the Liberty compound.
Administrative Secretaries - Berkshire
Are responsible to handle all incoming calls and occasional radio calls. Assist supervisor in scheduling applicants for hire, process new employee files, oversees incoming non public student data, assist routing secretary in daily driver assignments. updates student database, coordinate with non-public schools and tracks driver information.
The Head Mechanics coordinate the work of the fleet maintenance staff, processes repair requests, assigns work to the mechanics and repairs district vehicles.
Route Monitors - Berkshire/Liberty
The Route Monitor is responsible for route quality assurance including student management, communication with parents, ride-alongs with bus drivers and route compliance.
The Dispatcher is responsible for all incoming calls related to buses during route time that need to communicate with drivers via radio. They also assists with coordination of training activities and field trips.
